When did MileSplit start? ›

MileSplit was founded in 2001 by then college sophom*ore Jason Byrne. It has continued to grow over the years, incorporating and adding Don Rich and Fred Finke to the corporate team in 2004. MileSplit formed an advertising partnership with FloSports in 2011, before being acquired and merging with the company in 2013.

Mile Times for Teens

In most parts of the U.S., high school boys who can run a sub-4:00 mile can be very competitive on the high school track and cross country teams (the most elite can run an under-3:60 mile). The same is true for high school girls who can run a sub-5:00 mile (the fastest times are below 4:40).

For example, if you're running five miles, your time at each mile marker is called a "mile split." Some runners use splits to see if they're pacing evenly and staying on track to hit a specific goal.

MileSplit Live is now integrated into MeetPro! The MileSplit Live app is still available for use (and those instructions are below), but we recommend using the integrated MileSplit menu, as it's much simpler and faster.

How much does MileSplit's online registration cost? How much does MileSplit's online registration cost? Absolutely nothing! The entire suite of registration functionality is completely free to use and without the need of a subscription.

Running an 8:40-minute mile would place a male child in the 50th percentile. Running anything faster would be an above average time. Those who run 6:22 or faster are in the 100th percentile and are considered elite amongst other 12-year-old boys. Boys who run a 24:54-minute mile or slower are in the last percentile.

A monthly or yearly plan on MileSplit will only give you access to the MileSplit site. A MileSplit Universal sub for $150.00 will give you access to Pro content on Milesplit. FloTrack: A FloTrack subscription allows you to view the best sporting events in the world track and field from the comfort of your own home.

Now that you have an account and you are logged in, click the search button and type in you or your athlete's name. Once you have located your athlete profile, select the "Claim Athlete" button under the athlete's name, location, school or club name. Follow the prompts for verification.

How do I cancel MileSplit? ›

You can cancel your account at any time through your account settings. Your account can be accessed by clicking on your account image in the top right of the home page.
