Loveless beautifully tells the story of Georgia discovering aromanticism (experiencing little to no romantic attraction, feeling repulsed by romance, or being uninterested in romantic relationships) and asexuality (experiencing little or no sexual attraction), and I think the book should be on everyone's reading list.

It is set in the same universe as Solitaire, Heartstopper, Radio Silence, and I Was Born For This.

i would definitely recommend to anyone 12-20. i may not have had... I was expecting more from this book as I had loved Radio Silence and it had won the young adult book award. It was still a lovely book about teenage relationships.

Loveless perfectly captures and shows an understanding of sexuality that is less talked about but still on the LGBTQ spectrum. The sensitivity, empathy and enduringness of the characters, their individual journeys and how friendship and platonic love can sometimes be stronger than romantic love.

Throughout the novel she discovers that she's aromantic asexual, or aroace for short. However, a lot of her personality is shown throughout the book prior to her aroace awakening.

In season one, we don't know much about Isaac, except that he's a good friend and addicted to reading. It's hinted that he might be LGBTQ+ based on the books he reads. In season two, it is slowly revealed that Isaac is asexual.

He ends up staying in a mental health facility for anorexia, OCD and depression for a few months. In the unrevised edition of Solitaire, Charlie is mentioned to have attempted suicide, though neither the revised edition of Solitaire or Heartstopper explicitly state this.
